I’m a graphic designer based in Los Angeles, with a focus on book design. My creative process is grounded in conversation and collaboration with my clients—arts and cultural institutions, artists, curators, publishers, editors and academic institutions.

After studying graphic design at Art Center College of Design, I worked for Richard Saul Wurman, creator of the TED Conference, on the Access© series of city guidebooks, and Design Arts II for the National Endowment for the Arts. In 1985 I established a freelance practice.

Clients include Atelier Éditions, Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Gagosian, Los Angeles Times Books, HarperCollins Publishers, UCLA Anderson, UCLA Law, USC Graduate School of Business, Creative Santa Fe, Salem Press, Inc., Ford Motor Company and Sony Entertainment.
